More a coincidence, that when gazing at it's majesty, the upper half matches the national flag of one of the major ethnic groups in Freo. I always understood it to be:

the red on the left = Port
green on the right = Starboard

that is from the Man in the guernsey's perspective... which (from that viewpoint) makes the tri-colour reverse to that of the Italian flag.

Now-now, I didn't mention fanatic and I did say 'probably'. The word I used was 'passionate'.

I will stick by my view that they are 'probably' not as passionate, but that is a generalisation and clearly would not apply to those on these boards---------apologies to those offended
