Chris Paul.

I just can't have him. Will gladly acknowledge his skill set but just hate the way he plays the game. His effort on the Brow just a few days ago summed him up. Right up there on the punchable head list

Punchable head alright, but it's no Sasha Vucevic.

Just on Fish - I am clearly biased by 0.04. (which I will go to my grave thinking wasn't legit - but them's the breaks).

But I reckon a big part of it for it for people is about how he left the Jazz to return to the Lakers just in time to win 2 more titles. Obviously there's nothing you can blame him for in that situation - sick daughter, asked out a contract to spend more time with her, be closer to specialist care etc... but then signs a contract shortly afterwards with a Lakers team that was ready to make a run at the title. Just the timing and team he joined was just a bit ah - 'fishy'. (just noting as well, that reportedly, his daughters initial specialist treatment was in New York).
As I said, you can't blame him for making any decision at that point, you just feel sorry the Jazz with how that all played out, particularly after Fisher was an important part of their playoff run that year.

I thought he did a fair few average things. He was traded to us and refused to play like he was some sort of all star superstar, not that it bothered me if he played or not as he would have been minimal help to the team but just the fact he had the arrogance as a guy who was at best a solid role player to dictate like that. Add to that as head of the PA he was getting stuck into the owners but can't act like a professional himself.

So if Wallace does nothing initially, what happens? Nothing.

You don't seem to understand that.

So I guess the guy that got killed because someone pulled a shot gun on him when he cut them off in traffic is to blame, as if he didn't cut him off then "everyone goes home".

Or the woman that got r*ped because she walked home from the bus stop, because if she didn't "everyone goes home".

Seriously, like Jod say's, it's time to stop posting about this.

This.

Pretty much summed it up better than I could.

Wallace deliberately tried to provoke Artest which resulted in disaster.

There's a reason he got suspended, and many throughout the years have said he could've got more.

He certainly didn't force the Pacers or fan to behave like they did, but he made a tense situation with his cheap shot on Ron.

Welcome to the real world. Everyone gets tested.

Probably the best article on the Pistons/Pacers fight there is. Pretty much everyone blames Artest for the start of the fight.

Just read through that again.

The one thing that stuck with me this time round was how softly the Pistons got off from the whole thing. Not just the players, but the whole organisation.

Say what you will about European football, but when fans behave like this, UEFA and the leagues come down very hard on the clubs. You cost your team Champions League for a season, you have a run of home games that are "closed" and the whole supporter base takes notice. You only punish a handful of fans and dont do anything to the organisation, youre not sending the right message.

The message the NBA sent was to put the blame squarely on 3 individual players (all on the same team).

I don't have a problem with how the NBA treated the Pistons. This was a one off event in the NBA. Violence off the field in soccer is (probably more was) a major issue for European football. Punishing the club in soccer pushes then regarding extra security etc. That's not needed in the NBA.

I'm hating everyone on those squads now for taking this thread off topic. Back to hating please

Ok... Fine.

I'll be predictable:
I hate, hate, hate Lebron James.

Basically every decision he has made since that first stint in Cleveland has been about his "Legacy" and never about his team/teammates, and he doesnt want to win the right way - and personally that really worries me about the message it sends to future stars.

He took the easy way out in a premeditated move to join Bosh and Wade, all the while ransoming the future of the Cavs at the time.

Then he returns to the Cavs and I was all set to forgive him - to see him be an elder statesmen helping guide a team of young stars- only for him to get rid of Wiggins, and a few other pieces, and bring in Love and his whole band of merry men.

I also resent the fact that he plays in the East and is generally pretty much garaunteed an easy run to the finals every year. (compared to teams in the west)

But what would Jod talk about if he couldn't keep bringing up LeBron losing in the finals as a reason he's not that high in the GOAT list :p
