WoW is my most played too but I think it's only around 4000 hours. Pretty much all during WotLK and early Cataclysm era, was on it non stop thenNearly 2500 hours of Destiny. Still a while before I catch my WoW hours where I remember having over 365 days played on one character.

There is a caveat. I leave my PC on 24x7, and have been known to leave the client running overnight. I estimate 60% of those hours are played at least thoughThat over 391 days.
More than entire year, 24 hours a day, playing DayZ.
Impressive
Mine is Age of Empires 2 at 1067.2 hours (HD Edition at 623.3 hours (last played Dec 2019, so I suspect the Definitive Edition was a Christmas present to myself that year) and Definitive Edition at 443.9 hours (last played last week)). That's 44.5 days.
After those two it drops to Quake with 69 hours (teehee!). Borderlands (the original) and Doom 1 + 2 round out my Top 5.
You need to go down to my 23rd most played game (Final Fantasy VII) to find a game that isn't either FPS or RTS. Unless Deus Ex doesn't count as an FPS, in which case, that's my 12th most played game at 30 hours.
I knew FPS and RTS were my favourite genres, this really rams it home for me. RPG would be up there too but I've played most of them on console or outside Steam (for example Mass Effect series on Xbox 360 and the EA app, Dragon Age series across Xbox 360, Xbox Series X and the EA App, Cyberpunk 2077 over 100 hours on GOG etc)
