Most Improved and Biggest Drop Offs

No player has made massive leaps at Collingwood but supporters are very pleased with Callum Brown’s and James Aish’s development this season.

One might suggest Jordan Roughead but given it’s his first season at the club, he may not count.

Biggest drop off is undoubtedly Josh Thomas.

Edit: Actually Darcy Moore is our most improved

Most improved who had debuted before this season:
Parfitt. Has gone up a level since last season. Definitely adds something to the team and every game he misses we absolutely feel.
Is as important to our team as Esava, we struggled badly up forward while he was out injured and is one of our most important players now structurally.

Most improved who hadn't debuted before this season: Miers. I will be honest I liked him in the VFL last year but never expected he would do this well.

Drop offs: Tuohy hasn't been great this season.

Improved: Ellis-Yolmen, Keath, Kelly
Dropped off: Laird, Gibbs, Greenwood

Agreed but I'd add O'Brien in the former category. There would another half dozen Crows competing to get a podium finish in the latter group.

Improved: Dylan Grimes, has had to be Alex Rance II for the year and has done so amazingly

Dropped off: Josh Caddy, seemed to struggle without Riewoldt and with a new taller forward line, looks like he's been forced to take a new role in order to break into the side at some point.

Improved: Rowan Marshall, Josh Dunkley & Tim Taranto

Drop Off: Tom McDonald, Seb Ross, Angus Brayshaw & Dayne Beams

Kudos to St Kilda for recruiting six more than handy players during the off-season

Our most improved would have to be Petruccelle or Allen. Petruccelle 3 games last year for 16 disposals (total) and 2 goals. Has played 14 this year for 17 goals. Allen played 2 last year and 16 this year, featuring at both ends. Sheed has been awesome but really just picking up where he left off at the end of last season. 28 touches, 5.6 clearances and just under a goal per game.

Biggest drop off would be Vardy. Has done OK in raw hitout numbers for the amount he has played but that's it. Been no threat up forward or around the ground. Kennedy has had a couple of quiet games but is still 8th in the Coleman. He's not dead yet.

Improved - Saad, Tippa, Stringer, Parish, Clarke, McGrath, Laverde, Guelfi. Some of these blokes have improved a lot, others just a little. Saad, Stringer and Clarke would be the big improvers.

Drop off - Fantasia, Smith, Baguley and Dea.

It was kind of hard to name guys that are clearly worse than last year because last year wasn't really that great a year for us and this year we are probably several wins better.
