Although we are a little more than halfway, who do we think has shown the most improvement this season?

Apologies if i've made a glaring omissions, but these are the players i've considered to have improved from last year for the dees

Martin for me

3. martin - had him as a delistee at seasons end at the start of the year.. now could end up being one of our most valuable players, remarkable
2. watts - his last cpl of weeks in particular have really wet the appetite into what sort of player he could be one day.. definently can make chf his own
1. bail - this bloke really nailed down a starting 22 birth when personally i wouldnt have had him in there, i think he really improved his kicking this year as well

3.Martin- Has come on as the prototype footballer, can ruck, kicks goals, good defender too.
2. Rivers- I remember calling for his head most of 2010! best 3rd man up player in the comp and an awesome spoil
1. Watts- been slowly building since the bye

also Joel MacDonald has been playing well in defence in tandem with Rivers, should add him to poll. And good on Nathan Jones!

I was just about to start a similar thread:

Stagnated
Newton
Warnock
Wonnaeamirri

Gone Backwards
Morton
Davey
Bate
Dunn
Green (largely due to massive 2010)

Not a bad rate of development. Only Morton and Wonna are a real worry, given their age.

Stefan Martin without a doubt. Amazing how much improvement he has shown.

Nathan Jones in 2nd place. Gone from a C grader to a B (even B+ at times) with an improvement in decision making and disposal.

Martin, and it looks like he's cleaning up in the poll as well.

Watts' improvement has been impressive, but was to some extent expected. Martin just seems to have put his head down and it appears to have clicked for him, when a lot of us weren't sure it would.

The difference in Martin's (and Jamar's) ability around the ground today was staggering compared to the Richmond ruckman (Browne?). They are handy in terms of marking and disposal (let's forget about Jamar's kick on goal for now) and mean that they actually provide something other than just tapwork.
