There was an article on the AFL website listing every teams most improved player and who they thought would be the player to watch next year.
They said Lukey Dal was our most improved, with Liam Jones the one they think will shine next year.
Who do you guys think has been the most improved and who will be one to watch next year?
I agree with Lukey Dal, but I also think Mitch Wallis has been fantastic this year and will be one of our biggest stars to come.
As for next year...I would like to say Liam Jones but I think Clay Smith will cement his spot in our midfield next year, hopefully having a killer year. Also excited to see Addison play a year in the forward line.
Post your thoughts/opinions/whathaveyou

Keep your eye on Cordy next season. One more summer in the gym, a better midfield and some more help in the forward line. He's almost ready for liftoff.

I'm not concerned about jones. He'll be back.

The other guy for me is Howard. Another injury free pre season and he'll fly next year.

I'd Really like to see the young key talls all take a big step forward next year. They've all been a little bit disappointing this year. Having said that though, I think it's the first time in a long time the club has at least had a reasonable list of young Rucks and KPP. Jones has shown he can be very good at AFL level, so he's the one I think can go to the next level.

I'm probably alone on this, but I still believe Grant will become a very good player.

Read the article online and thought Lukey D was a lazy nomination from a journalist that didn't look that deeply at our list.

Compared to 2011, Addison and Minson would be most improved (gone from playing at Willy most weeks for a couple of years to prob top 10 B&F this year). Agree Wallis has also improved significantly this year, whilst Luke D has improved marginally

Reckon Tory Dickson will be a big improver next year. Has played very well this year with little AFL training. After a full pre-season next season I reckon he'll have a great season.

Hopefully Cordy and/or Jones can be big improvers next season. It would be great to have 2 tall key forwards, with Cordy playing a bit in the ruck too. Both need to sort their kicking out, both field and set shot.

JJ looks the goods from his first few games. Bit more game time and increasing confidence, he looks another gem.

Wallis this year for me. Always thought he would be a gun (would have been top 10 easy in the draft if he wasn't a F/S), but didn't expect these sort of numbers this early. Think he can step up his game another level next year as well.

Quite a few but Libba for me - what has happened should provide some perspective and focus on what's important . Hopefully a wake up to him and some others !

Mitch Wallis has been our most improved by quite a margin.

Next season we have to cross our fingers and pray that our most improved is a key forward.

Cordy, Jones, Redpath, Hill. These are the four for me who nex pre-season we should be putting a lot of work into.

I guess the encouragingthing about Dal is he was able to maintain his output under increased defensive attention - teams arent going to let him have a free run at it as a midfielder - too much of a play maker.

I'm probably alone on this, but I still believe Grant will become a very good player.

Why?

Been in the system six (?) seasons and played three good games.

He's closer to the end than he is the start and just can't put on weight.

Think we'll see improvements out of JJ, Roberts, Smith, Talia, Pearce, Jong and a whole lot of others. I've got total faith in the coach to get the best out of the young guys.

Just need the talls that have been around a while to really become solid AFL players week in week out.
