Most improved player of 2016

This. So many of you are just naming players from your own team which amounts to a whole lot of bias and really cringeworthy responses. Like seriously a couple of Freo fans saying Taberner is the most improved player in the comp? The absolute most improved player in the comp???? Just what?!?! He had one 5 goal game and he's playing in a team that has gone further backwards than almost any team in history in the space of 10 months while averaging a bit over a goal a game and 13 disposals a game. Discounting players from my own club, one i think who hasn't really been mentioned is Lachie Hunter. Dude is flying under the radar like crazy averaging 32 disposals a game and almost 7 marks. up from 20 disposals a game last year. He gets to every contest and provides amazing spread and is one of many very improved dogs.

There should be a blanket ban on mentioning players from your own club .. feel free once someone else has discussed it but all these threads get dragged by 'player x' from my team

Lachie Hunter has been absolutely fantastic ... but it really started in the back half of last year so I don't know if he's really one of the most improved because you could see it was pretty likely ... been a god send for my supercoach team though

He's top 20 in the afl for goals and top 15 for marks in the 50
I'd imagine he's high up on assists aswell

Miles off it. He played lots of similarly good footy at Carlton, both down back and up forward. Most just seemed to forget that when he really dropped off in his last 6 months at Carlton.

Henderson played some good footy for the blues and was always gonna be a good pick up for the cats

It amazed me how underestimated Henderson's expected impact on Geelong was by so many when he played so much really high quality footy at Carlton over a long period. Used to rip us a bit of a new one almost every time we played Carlton, either taking lots of intercept marks down back, or kicking 4 or 5 goals up forward. He's been genuinely high quality for years, especially down back.

Part of the reason everyone said the Fevola trade was such a **** up was cause of how good Henderson was looking

There should be a blanket ban on mentioning players who have barely played prior to this season. Sicily? I mean FFS, he played 3 games last year. You'd hope that with another pre-season and an opportunity to string 10+ games together he'd be better than he was in his first couple of games as a fill in.

Laird was your B&F winner in 2015.

No he wasn't. The best player in the league was our 2015 Club Champion. Laird did come second though.

He has improved even more on his season last year though. Nearly went at 100% efficiency yesterday and is continually up there with the highest efficiency ratings in the afl each round.

After Saturday night - Jack Watts. Always knew he had improved this year after seeing him a few times, looking at his stats etc. but he seems amazingly rejuvenated and seems like a totally different player to what he was even a few years ago. Well done to him. Had immense pressure to deal with, a seemingly crap development environment and now he looks to finally be hitting his straps. Would be really happy with his progress if I was a Dees supporter
