A mate of mine suggested that McLean could win the B&F in both grades.

Would both be an indictment on the rest of our players and probably sum up the season in regards to injuries.

He may not be too far off the mark.

a) Improved or shown enough to give us hope for the next few years (in no order):
Armfield, Casboult, Bootsma, Bell, Dale, McInnes, McLean, Watson, White.

b) Fingers Crossed:
McCarthy, Mitchell, Buckley, Rowe.

c) Last Chance Hotel:
Davies, Joseph, O'Keefe.

Curnow, Collins, Ellard and Lucas: somewhere between b and c.

1. Armfield (From been joked about to being used as an example. Never dropped his shoulders)
2. Carrazzo (Our most important player. A Grader)
3. McLean (people forget how good he used to be)
4. Hampson (worked on his weaknesses. There is still a lot of improvement to come, however took a big step this year)
5. Betts (it was all about consistency and he ticked that box off. He was basically our KPF)
6. Robinson (showed exactly how, for how badly we missed him when he was out injured)

From the younger types, it is natural to improve, so I won't name any of them

Of the already established players, clearly out of Brock and Armfield.

Wouldn't necessarily classify them as 'improved', but both Watto and McInnes took their chances with both hands and played some very nice football. Both have shown they have huge futures should their health permit.

Agreed.:thumbsu:
