2 things, both concerning the jamming of fingers into doors...
the first was my friend. getting out of a doctors car door who slammed it shut on her thumb... and she had to go to hospital, luckily it wasn't broken... but she was in SOOOOOOO much pain.. and the whole thing went purple
and another one was my friends dad... in a middle of a meeting he got up, he was realy angry and he stormed out... slamming the door behing... but he left his finegr there... and the tip of it got cut off by the door

Last year playing footy, went up and took a grab then came down with all my weight on someone elses foot.

Severely tore Ligaments and tendons in my ankle as well as snapping a bone in my ankle. Had surgery on it to remove the bone and clean up the whole area last year. It still causes me a bit of trouble 6 months on, but it's starting to improve very slowly with physio.

Definitly the most pain I have felt though.
If anyone can relate to it, it's the sort of pain where you don't really shout or anything... you just freeze in pain.

After my wisdom teeth were removed....the first 3-4 minutes after i woke up and there was no painkillers the pain was INCREDIBLE. Imainge immense throbbing blended together with someone repeatedly sticking a knife into each side of your mouth and thats about what it felt like.

A good wisdom teeth horror story for you Macca. When I had mine whipped out, my face swelled to Bert Newton proportions. It was a couple of hours after the operation and I suddenly felt my mouth fill up with a warm liquid: blood. My stitches had come undone in my mouth and I was spitting out quite a bit of blood. A nurse had to come in and stick her finger in my mouth to stop the bleeding until the doctor could come to re-stitch the wound. Eventually I was given some pethedeine but it was a pretty ugly situation.

When I was 7 years old, I had corrective surgery done on my EYES. I had this weird condition where I had 20/20 vision but if I didn't wear thick glasses with bifocals the left eye would cross because I couldn't control its movement. If nothing had been done to it I would have eventually lost sight in it and been blind in one eye.

So I had surgery. I actually had stitches IN my eyeballs for about a week afterward; they were all red and swollen and hurt like hell. And the worst part was I couldn't touch them. The stitches actually dissolved after awhile. Fortunately, my vision improved throughout childhood to the point where I eventually stopped wearing glasses.

Ok, what's the worst (most painful) physical thing that's happened to you / you've seen happen?

I once was forced to watch Collingwood 'play' football. Nearly killed myself. The pain was unbearable.

Straining knee ligaments three times in the one year hurt. The one that hurt was where I couldn't see a doctor as I had to take a bus to Adelaide that night.

Worst would be tearing ligaments in both my ankles back in '98 playing tennis. It wasn't like I could favour one leg, because both were buggered.

Knocked myself out a few times, and dislocated fingers and lots of other sports injuries.

The Hitman

Hands down dislocated knee.Ive done it 7 times now and it really knocks you about. You certainly dont feel to much pain after experiencing that. One time it stayed out for about 10 minutes and I went into mild shock because it was the first time.Punctured lungs not to pleasant either.

Without a doubt, the time I tried to "skateboard" down the driveway...except the skateboard went out from under me and I sprained my ankle (oh and fell heavily on my butt!!). The bruise on my foot lasted for two months.

Oh and you know what else is painful?? getting smacked in the face by a basketball/netball which is coming at you really really fast!!!!!!!!!!!

Through the years I have split my lip, cut my forehead open, had a front tooth knocked out by one of my brothers kicking a football, luckily I was only 6 years old at the time!
Fallen up the stairs and broken a small bone in my foot, and yes I was pissed at the time. :D
Having my belly button pierced hurt like hell, but at the moment I have some sort of strain injury to my left shoulder and the pain is unbelievable, I have to type with one hand and trying to change gears whilst driving is almost impossible.

the thing with me is... i get injured so often... but not in 'hurtful' ways so much as hilarious ways...
i make my friends laugh when i get injured...
one time i was having a play-fight mith mish (hitting each otehr on the head with sheets of paper:confused: ) and before she could get me back i start to run across the hall, steped weirdly on my ankle and fell into an opening door... so it looked like i fell into it and ended up on the floor not being able to stand up, mainly because i was laughing so much!
it would've looked even funnier from inside the room...
i also dislocated my finger while playing footy *note to self- don't play footy with tall, strong guys EVER again* and i was going to mark the ball because it was closest to me and i figured i'd be pretty safe, of course two guys come running straight for me and somehow in the process i dislocated my finger at the knuckle and ended up on the floor (wearing a dress mind you)didn't even hurt, but apparently i slapped one of the guys on the way down :D serves them right

Well I had a near full knee reconstruction when I was 8 after falling awkwardly on my knee, and that was defenetly on top of the pain chart. I also spilt open the part just above my eye where my eyebrow is and it was pretty bad mainly coz I was like 6 and we had to drive to hospital in the middle of the night (I'll leave the story of what happened to another post :o). But recently having a needle inserted into my neck has been pretty damn painful, and the worse thing I have to go back for more soon!! :(

i done that one before! like 4 times! i never learnt!
and also got 6 lots of stitches before i was 5, i broke my arm well my sister jumped on my arm (long story) and i have real bad tendonitus in my shoulder and i've also broken my ankle falling off a slide when i was 3 but that didn't hurt but i still broke it and i broke my wrist in yr 7 playing volleyball which also didn't hurt but i got told to get it checked out after it swelled up and ****

Didn't really have time for it to be painful, because it happened so quickly, but I used to work in a pallet manufacturing depot and had a pallet fall on my leg.

I pulled the pallet off the assembly line because it was defective - it was actually so defective that one of the joints came apart and I copped 50-odd kilos of wooden pallet on my shin.

The corner of the pallet has a protective metal plate on it, which cut my leg from the knee down to the heel, a good 12-14 inch long wound. It pissed out blood for a while, and for the next month the bruise went every shade between blue and black.

Like I said, it happened very quickly on the day so it wasn't all that painful, but showing a few people the wound afterwards made THEM pretty sick! :D

I've broken my funny bone, badly sprained my wrist (i swear i broke it) and cracked my head open. All three of them hurt - A LOT.
It's not fun getting your head super glued back together you know.
