Healthfield-Aldgate, based in the Adelaide Hills, set the record of 88 wins between 1971 and 1976.
The team existed for 12 years, before it merged with then arch-rival Stirling Football Club to form the Mount Lofty District Football Club.
In that time the team won seven premierships in a row.

As Peter Allen said
"Everrrry thing old is new again"

In Scottish soccer, Celtic and Rangers have both won nine Premier League titles in a row, Celtic twice and Rangers once.

In WA Sunday football, Mails won the first four premierships in the Mercantile FL before losing the next three to Scarborough.
Scarbrough won six in a row in their first six years of playing.
Wanneroo also won six in a row. They were runners up the previous two years, won a flag before that, and were runners up the year before the flag, so they played in ten successive Grand Finals in the WA Football Association.

The Port Adelaide Football Club is the most successful league football club in Australia. It has won a record four Champions of Australia titles, a record 36 SANFL Premierships and an AFL Premiership

Melbourne won six in ten years 1955-1964 and haven't won one since.

Another extraordinary thing about Melbourne was that the Demons had made the finals every year from 1954-1964 inclusive, but would not make the finals again until 1987 after 23 years had gone by. And during this time, except for 1965 when the Dees started the season well but suffered a late season fade out and 1976 when they finished 6th in a very even season, they did not even come close to challenging for a finals spot. And the Demons' golden era from the mid 1950s to the mid 1960s was part of a successful era in the longer term, taking out 10 premierships in 26 years from 1939-1964 inclusive.

A friend of mine saw who is a fan of the Demons saw Melbourne win a premiership as a little girl in 1964, and has not seen another Demons flag since. When they next made the grand final in 1988 against Hawthorn, my friend, her husband and their 3-old-daughter all fell asleep as the Hawks crushed the Dees as all were tired from a teething baby boy. Fast forward 12 years to 2000 and my friend, her husband and their now teenage daughter and son once again fell asleep watching the Grand Final against Essendon, this time out of boredom.
