So you think an average and aging loose man in defence deserves his spot in front of one of the most improved players on the comp, a tough player on the field, who reads the well and has played the loose defensive role beautifully for us ?

Fletcher might have a long kick and long arms, but was lucky to get in the long AA list. You might have a case for Watson. Flecther, no.
Fletcher is superior to Maxwell in every way I can think of, he is taller, faster, more agile, a better mark, has better skills, reads the play better, kicks further, makes better decisions, I can keep going if you like.

Maxwell's improvement has taken him from sub AFL standard to having earn't a place as a third tall defender. Comparing him to Fletcher is just plain embarrasing.

1) Swan forward, Didak middle
2a) HURN Excluded - fast becoming one of the most underated defenders in the comp
2b) Fletcher (17 games... the man broke his own leg) and Mackie included
3a) Vince and Bartel included in middle
3b) Mitchell, Black, Watson exluded from middle

Maxwell is a captain of a footy club.

Fletcher is a guy who broke his own leg by kicking it.

So what you're saying is that you agree with everything I stated (hard not to as its all obviously correct) and the only things you can come up with to argue against me are unrelated to performance and playing ability.

I wonder when people will start to realise that Maxwell has turned himself into a good footballer over the last year or so. He probably shouldn't make the final team, but making the 40 was fair enough.

The obvious mistake is Swan and Didak should be swapped around.

Er....breaking your leg does affect you playing ability deutche.

I'd have Harry Taylor ahead of Fletcher on potential. He is gunna be a tank.
