I can't see why he's so low, but I'd put it down to Geelong. Simply, if you asked a lot of random people who Shannon Byrnes was, they'd ask you who Byrnes was. Or at least someone with the knowledge of I would. Overpowered by surrounding big names IMO.

Byrnes is great but a bit of an unknown for when varcoe and stokes return. More of a keeper for the price and should of been up there in consideration when everyone was picking tippett, grey etc in that price range.

You actually want the stats of players without the auto fill teams,

The difference between winning and not winning Sc whether in be overall or league is not having too many common players and getting on the non common players early before everyman and his dog has them, you get the good early points and the price increases so you can up grade them later. ie jordie mckenzie, had heaps of takles in two weeks. Unless you support melbourne very few sc Coaches would have heard of him(Choosing the right captian, having few long term injuries and luck also helps winning

Not sure about this. The past few winners in both SuperCoach and Dream Team have shown that you do not need to have unique picks to win the game, and the 'BigFooty hype team' was pretty much used as starting line-ups for both 2009 winners.

The trick is a decent starting side, very sensible trading, and a bit of luck.

So, so true. In 2008 I came 4th on the back of being conservative with original team selection and trades.

People love to get on the back of a unique gun, getting the jump on everyone else. But if you are selecting a player primarily because they are unique, you are in all likelihood giving everyone us the advantage.

What is most effectively unique in SC is being sensible with trades. Very helpful and even more rare.
