At least on-field I would have to throw Liam Ryan into the discussion. Considering he attempts to take mark of the year 3 times a game.

I spent most of his career hating Joel Selwood, (Mainly because we passed over him for Mitch flipping Thorpe), then he went and and pulled the Cats Water boy with Down Syndrome over the fence, including him when they won the flag...

Sigh..

Joel Selwood is a good bloke.. (There, I said it)

Selwood always reminded me of Luke Hodge if he wasn’t an enormous piece of shit

Might not be universally loved but I've always liked the way Jamie Elliott goes about it.

Really good player IMHO. Kicks the goals and gets on with it. No BS carry on.

This. First time I watched him, saw the Tatts and the sort of pretty boy look about him and made the assumption that he’d be a bit of a knob.
He’s turned into one of my favourite non Cats of the last 7-8 years. Absolute weapon of a footballer and just does his job without a hint of floggery- and to be honest he’s got a good enough highlight reel to lairise a bit

Too early for me to see him play - but where does Darren Millane sit in this discussion?

Early tragedy seems to make someone universally beloved - or, at least, untouchable - but I'm not sure exactly where Millane sits, given his 'scallywag' reputation and the fact he played for Collingwood.

Jason McCartney and Anthony Stevens, on the other hand...

I had a teacher in Year 12 tell me when he saw Millane knock Brian Taylor unconscious in the Collingwood Social Club.

With modern PR spin, I think "misunderstood" would get a fair workout.

Y'know, I could think about this for six months and still have many, many conflicting feelings about it...

He's been a fabulous player and we love him because of his "non floggery"

Do you remember him before he had tatts?
