If they were all the same age, I'd take Brown.
Cameron Mooney.
Case in point - the game in 2006 vs West Coast.
Mooney plays at CHF for the first two and a bit quarters - Geelong go out to a 9 goal lead.
Harley gets injured and Mooney is moved to CHB to cover him. With no focal point to kick to, Geelong is outscored by 10 goals for the rest of the match.
When?Surprised no-ones mentioned play anywhere Pav
AA as CHF,AA as CHB and AA as midfielder.

Pav got his team to a PF. Not really his fault he has played in an ordinary team for his career. Plus he plays for an interstate side so there aren't as many big MCG blockbuster type games to perform in.The others on the list have dragged their teams to and through finals and other big matches.
Sadly for Pavlich. His value is used in such a way that he keeps Fremantle from being a bottom 4 club. Hardly something to be thrilled about.

Stop standing so close to me. It's a two way street you know.
. It's just that I was beginning to enjoy our closeness.wow ok then hawks beat richmond in 2009 buddy gets 5 goals and suspended
hawks vs essendon buddy isnt there we lose by 17 points
5 goals = 30
30-17 = 13 therefore hawks should have beat essendon by 13
So in your head it goes, Brown, Reiwoldt, Franklin, Fevola....and Chapman?I agree, but what about Paul Chapman, surely most would rate him in the top 5 for Most Valuable forwards in the AFL. Let's face it, if he was fit in the 08 GF, Geelong would have 3 flags in a row now, can't tell me that's not valuable.
Riewoldt was my vote though, more important to his team then any other single player in the game.
The question is too narrow.
Value relative to what?
Age has no bearing on the MVP so not sure why people are mentioning it.
Thanks for this. That's exactly how football works.
A key forward will always be more valuable than a mid/small forward.
well Franklin simply because he kicks the most goals. The question is too narrow.
