okay well its certain that he is heading to chelsea, what im wondering is do you think he made the right choice?

He works wonders in portugal with porto and turns a longshot team into the european champions. Now he moves to chelsea, i honestly think hes put himself in a tough position, sure chelsea has money and players but will 2nd behind arsenal next season be enough to make him a top premiership manager? Ranieri gets the dump after taking chelsea to 2nd and also the champions league semis, basically for mourinho to prove himself at chelsea, he has to win the league and the champions league to show that hes a better manager then ranieri over a 2 year timeframe. Sure it will be his first season but if arsenal lead the pack again then he may find himself under pressure.

My opinion is that he would have been more suited with a move to either liverpool or tottenham, those are 2 clubs that have underachieved considerably. I would love to have seen him at tottenham, at least there he finds himself in a similar position to what he had to contend with at porto and at uniao leiria, at chelsea the stars are already there, results will be expected in all competitions and i think that a move to another premiership club may have been a better move for him even though the cash is better at chelsea, its very possible that his tag of one of the best managers at senior level may go down the drain all in a space of a season if big spending chelsea underachieve.

What does everyone else think with mourinhos choice of club?

I love his choice. I watched the press conference and I was dazzled.

He picked Chelsea because he has found a club with the same ambition to win and thurst to win as himself. I have no doubt Mourinho can work wonders if everyone at the Bridge is behind him. I know I am.

i love the guys confidence, he just won the champions league so he has every right to be confident in his ability, what im worried about is that arsenal may put in another amazing season and coming 2nd like ranieri may be seen as a failure.

I dont think he has left himself much room for error, roman wants silverware and if mourinho doesnt provide then he may be in trouble.

It all depends on whether the egos in the change room decide to perform for him.

The important thing is that he needs to do a clean out of who he does not need, nice to see the useless veron being discarded. He may be on the right track but if he is 12 points behind a runaway arsenal by christmas, i wont like his chances with the no clue abramovich.

Mourinho has said he only wants 21 outfield players in his first team squad, Chelsea currently have around 33-34 I think.

The worst value for money player in English football history is gone, expect plenty more to be offloaded on loan or knock down deals in the next few weeks.

perhaps throw in Jesper Gronkjaer as well for an extra 500K.:D

He could even give you a knock down price on the protective net that will be needed for the patrons in row Z. ;)

Hopefully in his desire to clean out the squad he will let Mikael Forssell sign permanently for the Brummagem for a knock down price ... perhaps throw in Jesper Gronkjaer as well for an extra 500K.:D

you can take Jesper...but we'll keep Mika thanks ;)
