Loved it too. Ever wonder why Burt Reynolds had such an odd* career? Well, Boogie Nights encapsulates the reason why. He was such a bad judge of film that after filming it, he was sure it was going to be a dud and he would be pilloried, that he fired his agent. Instead it turned out to be the role of his career and garnered him his only Oscar nomination. Apparently, the utterly execrable Striptease was more his idea of a good one!

* I mean for such a big star, he made a lot of terrible movies.

To this day, Striptease is still the only movie I have ever walked out of, it was about halfway through.

Excrement.

I have never seen a single James Bond film.
Same. I have not seen The Dark Knight or Shawshank Redemption either.

I have however seen every Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Halloween, Childs Play and A Nightmare on Elm St movie.

And some say I am “missing out”! Mwah hah hah!! 🤣

How anyone on here hasn’t seen Shawshank Redemption, simply defies belief.....what the actual???

Do yourself a favour & watch it this weekend....
I am more perplexed that people have not seen STAR WARS.

Tried SR last weekend bro but fell asleep. If it is as really as good as they say I will try again.

Had time last night but watched Sinister instead. At least there I am guaranteed thrills.

Never seen Shawshank in full, although I've seen the ending on TV before. No interest really.

Also Castaway, The Green Mile, American History X, 2001 Space Odyssey, Schindlers List
Agree with all except Schindlers List. I have seen that a dozen times but understand it is not for everyone purely based on the subject matter.
