LOTR
Star Wars

Zoolander
Tropic Thunder
Dodgeball
Baseketball

Virtually every Adam Sandler movie  used to love him in '96 - '99, can't stand them today.

* I don't mind Ben Stiller, but quite a number of movies he is in.... i have wound up disliking. Don't get the hype with Dodgeball, saw Tropic Thunder on dvd the other night... had it's moments, but overall i found it to be very average - borderline crap.

Starwars
LOTR
Spiderman
Superman
Passion of the Christ
Titanic
King Cong
ROCKY I bloody hate that crap
The Ring
Oceans 11
8 Mile, the list goes on

I think on Facebook, most of my friends are like no greater than 60%compatability. I'm out there.

I agree with you on all but The Ring, love that movie. :thumbsu:

Also dislike the Die Hard movies & most movies which rely on special effects to make money, rather than a good plot, acting etc.

Most of the best movies ever made, don't have special effects, they don't need them.

movies you hate but everybody else loves

what movies do you hate but everybody else seems to love?

for me it is the matrix trilogy
the bourne trilogy
amelie
the dark night

Any James Bond movie - the Daniel Craig 'Casino Royale' was tolerable but wasn't anything special for mine.

I thought 'The Departed' was pretty over-rated.

'Transformers' - gawd, I saw this on Foxtel last week, what a complete load of $hit.

'Pirates of the Caribbean' - fell asleep in the second one, flatly refuse to see the third.

I'd say 'Titanic' but I've never watched it so I might like it - zero ambition to actually attempt a viewing though.

And, probably because I'm a guy but 'Sex in the City' (series and movie).

EDIT - late entry, the movie 'Crash'. Tried watching it, got 15 minutes in and had to turn it off. Just didn't get what the hype surrounding it was.

Oh and any movie that comes out stating

"A Heartwarming story" ....Screw that s**t.

"A thought provoking journey" Wtf are they thinking with that s**t.
Inspiring.
"Time Magazine voted this the best movie of the year" So bloody what.

That is true though. You sit there thinking "Why did I fork out 16 bucks to see this s**t?" and you leave thinking "I wonder how I will ever get those two hours of my life back?" :p

I was pissed off that the new Keanu movie on Boxing day is shown some 14 days after America, but now I'm happy, Its had so many negative reviews, from genuine Keanu fans, whereas The Island that I loved was bashed by the critics, they know F All

95% of the movies that are made.

James Bond movies.
War of the Worlds (Remake)
King Kong (Remake)

Don't know if most of the general public liked it but I have no idea why Babel was acclaimed so highly by critics. Technically good in some scenes and some decent acting but an average story and an average film

Agree, it was ordinary. Don't think it was very popular at all. There is a huge chasm sometimes between what the "critics" love, and what Joe Public enjoys.

I personally wait to see which movies Leigh Paatch raves about, and then avoid them.

Could not stand 300. I thought the specials effects made the movie look horribly constricted.

Agree also. It was CGI rubbish. The leader of the attacker (forget their real name) just looked like a giant over made up gay dude. Was supposed to be some sort of god, but was just laughably sad.
