Earlier today I hired out the Jason Statham film The Mechanic. You see him use a MacBook Air in the film a few times.

Done and dusted Caesar, better buy one.

Jafa, glad to help ;)

PS - You do have to install Windows though, it runs it within OSX then.

Yeah I see that. I have found a walk thru for installing Lion in a Vmware player so I might give that a go for testing. Interested in Lion server because at the moment we run server 2008 and exchange 2010 and it is so over the top for our needs.

I've done the exact same thing mate; have the Windows server, but it's an overkill for our needs and a huge pain in the arse to adminster (without seriously getting into it).

Got the Quad Core Mini Lion Server sitting here on my desk right now. Have some monthly accounting stuff to finish up as well as some other crap, then going to start playing with it.

Will likely throw Parallels and the two programs we need onto it, give it a play and see whether it's viable company wide, then re-install it clean and set it up as the Server.

Who has/hasn't upgraded to Lion?

Are there any negatives to consider before doing so, aside from the scrolling reversal which I understand you can turn off anyway?
Upgraded this morning. Mail looks a bit strange, but other than that some nice additions that keep things fresh without being revolutionary.

Looking to build a Hackintosh.

Also looking at using a SSD for the OS. Application opening times are just insane.
The speeds from SSD's vs HDD's is incredible no matter what OS you use.

HOWEVER...I did have two monumental deaths with the two SSD's I bought (nearly lost all my data) but I was informed by PLE that there was a bad batch out because they were getting a heap returned; I bought OCZ on both occasions.

Does anyone know if the corsairs are any better?

I think the Corsairs where also affected as they had a big recall as well. Sounds like they shared a common component that was faulty.

It is a concern that they can be that easily corrupted.
I think I will wait a year or two when they have got the tech right..:thumbsu:

Yea fair point - you had two, were they the same model?
Yep, they were OCZ'z Agility 3's....For the moment I have gone back to a HDD until I'm a little more convinced with the SSD technology.

My mate is currently running one so he can be my guinea pig :D

I'm considering buying a Macbook Air. I'm thinking that it would be the perfect laptop when travelling as, it is thin and lightweight. I'm not a fan of the iPad just because I want a keyboard when typing rather than one of those virtual pop-up keyboards.
