aka The Crippler. Jamie "Double Denim" Cripps.

Just quietly, despite all the noise about his concrete hands, is putting together one of his best seasons for the club and I think that's worthy of notice amongst all the "we might only finish 4th" melting going on.

30 Goals (with 3 games minimum to play) at a very respectable 66.6666666%. Second highest season goals to date
4 tackles per game and elite for f50 tackles
Career high 1%ers
Career high Marks i50
Work rate through the roof
Hard as a cat's head

26.5 years old and showing all the signs he will lead the small forward division ably as the senior player when Lecca hangs up the boots. He has really stood up in the last month. He's not a Rolls Royce but he's reliable and doesn't leave anything out on the field. 'Grats on a solid season Jamie - now go get a flag!

At times a much maligned player on the board and amongst fans, yet Cripps is putting together a damn good season in 2018.

After a quiet start, over a stretch of 9 games since Essendon rd 14, Cripps has kicked 18.6, averaged 90 DT points and continues to lead our pressure in the forward half with strong tackling and harassing. His only poor game in that time came against St. Kilda. That courageous mark and goal on Sunday helped lift the side into contention for the win, and he's nailed other key long-range goals at stages this year.

Finally translating his natural ball-winning ability to the HFF, and taking more time with decision-making. Dare I say this is career-best form. Hope he brings it for finals.

Watching Ryan, Rioli and Cripps in their prime for the next few years will be a treat :thumbsu:

Yep I reckon across the last 5 weeks he has been our best player. Has really stood up in each game. Some have had better games, sure, but he has been consistently good in every one of them and is putting scores on the board.

Hope it continues as with JD and JK coming back in and Cripps in rare touch, if Ryan, Willie and Venners can also put in big performances over the next month we will have the scoring power to beat Richmond in a GF if our mids can supply 50+ i50s a match.
