For Cripps to be a great forward imo he needs to find more of the ball at a consistent level. He's not the type that would kick bags like a LeCras and he doesn't have the x-factor or ground level skills to do magical things or to turn a game on it's head. He's basically a forward line Gaff with his endurance and work rate but even as a HFF he doesn't find enough of the ball. Last two weeks he has found a bit of the ball and has played some of his best footy this season.

A curious looking and much maligned beast is Crippsy...promises to have a big finals!
Like the French Toastman he is often wrongly criticised by many who don't seem to
understand or appreciate the work they do off the ball, sometimes given roles that
don't involve hitting the scoreboard...or where hitting the scoreboard is of secondary
importance...it's hard for people to wrap their minds around that!?
(and I like the low-keyed way he celebrates a snag...a certain quiet arrogance)
