and LF50, i dont think last week will be jason's last game, but with Presti back this week (hopefully he comes up from injury) and the way Pavlich, then McPharlin ripped him up...and rampaging Richo wasnt what he needed, and with confidence down he may well have played Simmonds into some decent form tomorrow as well

Jason Cloke has no speed and is too small.
The only players he can play on is Whitnall and Hamill.
If he had good speed off the mark and could read his oponents leads better he would be a great defender, but hes not.
At his very best he'll take the 3rd tall, but why have J.Cloke in the side when you have Maxwell and Clement and sometimes even Lonie who are WAY more flexible.
There aren't too many Wayne Careys (Adelaide's version), Hamill and Whitnall like players going around, even the bulkiest players have some speed off the mark.

J.Cloke was very good in 2002, so what if he had no oponent, is Judd an accountable player? No not really.
J.Cloke was very good at the role he was given, and to be honest I don't think many players apart from perhaps Clement would do as well in that role as he did in 2002. J.Cloke would of won us the premiership in 2002 as Clement was forced to play his role but Clement needs to play off an oponent and use his foot skills and not be the 3rd man up all the time. Of course it's no good talking about what would of happened but the fact is J.Cloke was a very good player in 2002.
His lack of speed and to a lesser extent height has exposed him far too much. The only other problem with his game is decision making (he is an alright kick). I'm not just talking about deciding which teammate to pass to but when to lunge for a tackle/when to punch or mark, this is why he goes to ground too much.

I dont disagree I must be stupid. Anyone who waists money on a membership on a team going nowhere fast would be stupid. Stupid person, stupid team, stupid coach so what.

Lets hope our wonderful defence doesnt let through another 28 goals. It would take us 3 weeks to get that many.

Jason is in that group of players that are not quite up to AFL standard but may be too good to let go.

It is one of our major problems, we want and hope they will be good (consistently good) because we have seen what they can do when everything goes right for them. We have also seen them as they play mediocre or terrible footy, which is most of the time.

He is not alone, you can add
Walker
Cole
O'Bree
Williams
Woewodin
Davis
Lokan
Lonie
Williams
and probably a few others to the list.

It is one of the main things that is holding us back.
Those that we rely on for our depth cannot cut it at the top level
I suspect in 2 years time all of the above will be gone incuding Jason
