Yeah only similarities are they are based around computers.

Halt and Catch Fire is the development of certain things but yeah, could have been a lot better then it was. Not terrible, just nothing special.

the best scene from today:

i've always wanted to see the "outside" perspective when elliot's going off on his little mr robot episodes. cracked up when they showed this.

loved the finale. after reading some of the creator's interviews about the future of the show and the direction he wants it to take, i'm really looking forward to what next season holds.

Stunning episode, amazing season.

Honestly, the show's parallels with reality is so ****ing eerie. That live cross - absolutely made the right call with not airing it last week.

Has any other show also really incorporated New York as well as this? Such a well shot show, those last 10 minutes were ****ing orgasmic. Never not a good time to play some Alabama Shakes.

Elliot's self-choke had me in stitches, free the dogs.

But yeah, this is my favourite show of the year (in what's already been a ****ing stellar year for tv). Only Leftovers or the Knick going better than their freshman years would surpass this, but I don't think that'll happen. Marking the days for the season 2, can't ****ing wait.

Rome is burning.

The finale didn’t provide a whole lot of answers. Spending most of the episode looking for Tyrell, to no avail, merely fuelled the pervasive sense of jittery paranoia of the show. The finale played best as a series of moments and lines like that riveting scene between Elliot and Tyrell’s wife. Or Elliot’s imagined alter ego Mr. Robot telling him, “I’m no less real than the ****ing meat patty in your Big Mac.” I also liked Angela's personality switch, it gave Portia Doubleday the opportunity to deliver her best performance of the series. She does intimidating exceedingly well.

However, they did set up tantalising scenarios for the second season, which augurs greater involvement by the malevolent Michael Cristofer and BD Wong. If Elliot thinks he’s triggered a revolution, Cristofer’s unnerving cool suggests the uber rich elite, the 1%er's - won’t be beaten so easily. Definitely the best series of 2015.

Probably the weakest episode overall, which is weird for a season finale.

A lot left out and not many questions answered, at least they've set up a whole lot of possibilities for next season...
Yeah, thought it was a drag and easily the worst episode of the season.

I think the pilot was the standout episode for me and it was alright up until the prison break episode. It took a real nosedive after that.

Um.

That's a really weird thing to randomly plagiarise.

Regardless of the reason for Angela's personality switch, it gave Portia Doubleday the opportunity to deliver her best performance of the series. She does intimidating exceedingly well.

Very good first season. Some excellent lines, analysis and diatribes contained in the script. Good performances by the leads. A mark of a good show is the quality of performances of the smaller roles and this has many. Great vibe created with the music. That prison episode and the pilot were my favourites of the season. Some excellent tension created. Big fan of the Fight Club movie and shows like House of Cards and the darker atmosphere. But when day breaks in this it's not bad as well :p. Good show the ending of this season makes you want to know what will happen next.
