Rumours. What rumours?

Rumours - especially those that crop up in the early to mid-season and hang around like a bad smell – are the bane of football clubs.
West Coast’s John Worsfold has a good policy for dealing with them – he reckons they’re almost all pure invention, so he ignores them.
“The whispers are, generally, I reckon, made up,” he said.
“If you can track to where the actual whispers start from, you might be onto something, but they start from someone who pretends they heard something, so there’s no dramas.
“Maybe ask the person who wrote it in the first place – sometimes people hear whispers in their sleep.”
With stories going around that West Coast captain Ben Cousins is about to sign a new deal with the club, Worsfold said he didn’t know what factors would keep players at clubs.
“I’m not sure if we’ve started negotiations with anyone – I didn’t know Cuz was close to signing, so that will all take its course.
I don’t know what players use as criteria to stay at clubs – my criteria as a player was I was loyal to one club, and I only ever wanted to wear the one guernsey, that was me personally.
“Plus, I never had any offers from any other clubs, so that helped,” he laughed.

While he didn't specifically refer to the circulating rumours about Chris Judd, it is quite obvious where this article stems from, and it isn't about Ben Cousins re-signing.
