I'm a big fan of Massimo Raso for that very reason. Playing some good footy in the VFL, but still young enough with plenty of upside.

I'd add a lockdown defender with elite speed to play on Watson/Kako types.
We can perhaps get by with FOS or Hardemann for now, but that's another list hole for me anyway.

I'd imagine that Floyd Burmeister will be high up on the MSD prospect list. He was pretty unlucky not to get a rookie spot in last years draft. Pretty raw player but he is a fantastic athlete, who have excellent movement and leap.

Played his first game on the weekend as an overager for the GWV rebels. Kicked 3.3 from 17 disposals and 6 marks. I haven't watched the game bit was told he was the difference in a close game

You can't just go around making up players like that.

As a bonus we can draft someone who has the name of a bloke who was caught blood doping in a mid-2000s Tour de France and went on to retire from professional cycling to a farming community in Idaho somewhere to run a local trucking company - Floyd's

Yeah I'm at the point where all I learn from Souup and RF08's excellent scouting is who the better clubs will pick after we've overlooked them three or four times. Can we get an estimate of who North will actually take? Is there an anorexic 19 year old midget playing for Christmas Island with the nice turn of pace? Or maybe an 220cm inveterate bongsmoker that has somehow tricked the Coates league into getting a spot at 22 because this is the year he feels he's gonna put it all together?

It would be sweet if we identified a gap on the list and plugged it with a ready-made player.

A running half-back for instance with skills would be a dream.

Or even another crumbing forward to go with Konstanty.

Bobby Hill out contract at the end of the year how about throwing $$$$ at him got nothing to lose

I doubt that happens. He's training by the looks of it. I reckon he'll play AFL back end of this year.

That's disappointing to hear. It wouldn't surprise me given your comments about Rawlings and Clayton work ethic before, but you'd hope Thursfield and his fresher recruiting team would be making these calls.

It’s pretty clear we don’t have the same ethic as other clubs. Think we are so used to being the last dog at the bowl type vibes that is self fulfilling. We just accept that we are perennial strugglers. Sucks.

Watch St Kilda now go roaring past us, as the Dogs have done, and become a much bigger club than us.
