• Looking forward to seeing our new players in action, including Curtin who seems to have really stepped up a notch this off-season.
• Not looking forward to seeing which player the Port thugs will snipe, leaving them in concussion protocols until R1.
• Looking at the team list on the AFC website, I note that Sid Draper & Lachie Thomas will both be wearing #34, with Draper playing the first 3 terms and Thomas the last 3. Why doesn't Thomas have his own number?

Haysman normally weares 14 in SANFL games which is Soligos number. Today hes wearing 23 Rankines number. Blake Drury has 37. That is free so all good. O'Leary wearing Sholls number 38 tonight. Ned Atkinson is wearing 44 which is Cummings number. Surely our top ups can have their own numbers.

I think most people don't want to admit having interest in these games because it's the 1st real look at this season playing an actual opponent. Even though we all know pre-season games mean very little to a proper season prediction many BF people love to speculate.

OK... that makes sense now. The game is being played using AFL uniforms, of which we only have kits for our AFL listed players. If players were able to wear their SANFL kits, then we wouldn't have problems with top-up players wearing AFL listed player numbers.
