Neale does a ton around the ground. Watch the grand final and see him work back to the goal square numerous times and bail out our defenders. I’m saying. You will get burnt with him in there. Watched it happen today numerous times

He's doing what the coaches tell him. Not every disposal needs to be bombed forward.
Steps up when Port are already winning....
Needs a month in the SANFL to figure out if he's still got match awareness.

I’d say Murray, Keane, Worrell and Max are locks in the back 6. So Laird, Bond, Milera, Hinge (and maybe Cumming and Nank) are fighting for two spots?
Dowling, Jones, Sholl, Cumming and Nank also fighting for wings.
Does Draper come out for Rankine? I don’t like it, but seems like he could be the one to make way. Unless Crouch makes way?

Milera is like that car you always wanted but it's at the bloody mechanic all the time
Just got back from the game and a couple of things stood out.
With A’s - our midfield is light years ahead of the last 5 years. Draper is ready for the level, Soligo looks even better than last year and Peatling is going to be so, so good for us. Having the luxury to play Dawson as an outside mid and general quarterback is also a great luxury. Curtin is also going to be very special around the footy.
Our forward line looks very dangerous (Port had no height back there to be fair though), but ANB is such an upgrade on Murphy it’s not funny and Rachelle could end up with 40-50 goals this year he is so polished.
Really didn’t like Milera’s game. He was a real liability defensively and offered very little offensively to counteract it. What’s happened to the elite kicking he had as a junior. Nankervis looks far better and I have no idea why he seems to have been relegated to the seconds.
In the B’s - The real highlight for me was Pedlar. He had an “almost” game in many ways as the bounce didn’t go his way, but The amount of ground he covered, his intensity and his second and 3rd efforts were really pleasing. One second he was in the back pocket and the next presenting as a forward. I have always questioned his fitness and tank but what I saw tonight really gives me hope. He did it for 4 quarters as well.
Taylor, Nankervis and Schoenberg all are AFL quality (I was guilty of writing Schoey off, but Achilles injuries are really an 18 month injury) and while I would personally have them ahead of Laird, Jones and Milera, they are all very good depth if the team gets selected as tonight.
Playing Murphy as a full time mid in the B’s seems crazy when you are trying to develop Schoenberg, Taylor, Berry and Edwards as AFL midfielders. He is just taking minutes away from them, and while he will probably do well in the role, he clearly isn’t going to be an AFL midfielder so I don’t see the point. At least it means he’s not in the plans to play small forward in the seniors.

Crouch broke the record for most disposals in a season. The catch is that disposals are only one aspect of performance, and that was eight years ago.

2) I agree with you and have been saying this all pre season. Crouch is a really good player but he needs more to his game than inside mid and I think it will be what causes him to drop out of the side going on. Keep in mind, we look like we only m right have moved past Murphy...might...and he's not fit to tie Crouchs shoes

I don't have Kayo and by the sounds of it I don't want it.
I am curious though from those who watched the game.....how did Fog go? He didn't seem to kick a goal and not much has been written about him all pre-season.

Going to say, pretty happy we missed out on Luko. Can't believe Port have gotten a new Jack Watts in their system

Gave up a future 1st for him too, will legit need a Bergman or Butters to leave to get a first rounder but that would make them even worse in the short term, could have easily handed gold coast another top 10 pick
