Posting Stats - Rd 7

It was another strong posting performance following the bye as the team finished with our second highest post total to this point of the season. Five Demons finished with their highest numbers of the season while 15 Demons posted double figures with 14 of those reaching 20 or more.
We had 21 active posters with Quivorir rotating out of the 20 as a result of there being 20 Demons active in the thread before the team was named while he had not posted at that point in time.
Marlowe and moginie were down on their round 5 posting while we saw a significant increase from DemonJim this week.

The Demons had over 52% of all posts in the match thread, although that percentage would have been significantly more if it hadn't been for Maj, who contributed three times as many posts as any other Phoenix player.

We have 16 posters averaging double figures for the season, nine of those are averaging more than 30 posts per game. We have just under 49% of all posts in our match threads. If it weren't for the huge posting numbers against us in round 3 we'd be well above our opposition post counts for the season. Of note, the total posts count all posts in the thread, including those contributed to people from other teams and match thread posters.

Next week we have the Bears so we'll be hoping for another strong performance in the match thread, especially off the back of our first win for the season.

Fantastic reflection of the culture here, that’s a happy team 🤙🏻

DT Stats - Rd 7

The Demons were back in the mud again this week and as a result, DT scores were well down on the previous three rounds. In fact, it was our lowest total DT points for any match this season. Who cares... We won!

Greenery led the way with 70 thanks to a match winning 5 goals at full forward and DemonJim also had a great game on the forward flank.
We had three players not score double figures this week, in addition to cats2rise who decided that one bye wasn't enough for him, refusing to leave the bench. As a result he ended with donuts. It'll be interesting to see if he can be bothered moving next week.

Quivorir still leads the season averages at 84.5 DT points per game played. We'll be hoping he's back posting earlier in the week against the Bears as we need his in-game output.

Starting Positions - after Round 7

Yakker came back into the 20 for Quivorir this week. moginie was given a run on the back flank to allow Yak to go back into the forward pocket.
As a result, moginie has now lined up in three different positions (not counting emergency), the most of any Demon this season.

cartwright , Wosh and Proper Gander are the only other players to have lined up in more than one position, having all played in two. Off the top of my head, there's nothing else at all that makes those three any different to any other players at the Demons.

My first medal in either one of sausageroll's competitions and we grab our first win.
Coincidence???? :eek::eek::eek:

(Seriously though, midfield lift, there's no way a full forward should be leading you guys in Dream Team I feel like Matthew Richardson out here).

Positional Changes - Rd 7

This week there were a season low four changes for the match, less than half the previous low of nine changes. Of those, three were off the interchange and the other was an onfield position swap. There were no player moves at all in the first half.

Is it just a coincidence that the Demons won when we didn't mess too much with the team structure mid-game?

Favourable Changes
Technically you could argue that DERO, jmoo wan and Headless all had favourable position changes but none of the changes actually presented those players with an opportunity to take advantage of it.

Not so favourable changes
There were a couple of minor inconveniences for those who lost their positions to the players mentioned above, but the only significant disadvantage was not actually as a result of a change. In fact, it was the exact opposite. cats2rise started on the interchange and was not given the opportunity to get a run on the field at any stage of the game.

Is it just a coincidence that the Demons won when cats2rise was not given the opportunity to lose it for us?

Notes:
  • Numbers in the table represent the percentage of the total gametime for the match spent in that position.
  • Green boxes represent positions players were named in this round.
  • Yellow boxes represent positions players ended the game in if it was different to their starting position.
