We freighted their equipment. The guy looking after them had never heard of them. I said you work here while I enjoy a top gig. Mid 30s suck! Being responsible and all that!
 
Havent seen them since '93 BDO but they were the kings of that gig. Glad to know they are still going - is Guy Maddison still in the band?

From the moment the Coloured Balls classic Devil's Disciple hit the PA (how cool is that) and the curtain opened, it was a sludge rock epic. They were great - I've seen I think five times now and that was good as I've seen them. And leaving the stage to Warumpi Band's Blackfella Whitefella topped off a great night.

And yes, Guy Maddison is still in the band. Don't think we can quite claim them as an Aussie band but nice to know a fellow countryman is in the ranks

Saw them here in Perth last weekend for the first time, gig of the year by a mile.

I was trying to keep up with Mark Arm's growl but jesus h christ he can belt it out. A really tight band too, very impressed. Not sure on Steve's indie beard though.

What topped the night off for me was the penultimate song being 'hate the police', they hadn't done it on tour for a long time and brought it out for us plebs here in Perth. The next day I was very saw and realised I can't mosh at my age.
 
The encore in Melbourne was incredible. If I can remember correctly it included Who You Drivin Now, Into The Drink, Suck You Dry, If I Think, Hate the Police and Fix Me.

The joint was rocking by that stage.
 
Ending with the Black Flag cover really topped off the night for me.

Woke up the next day thinking I shouldn't move like a young person anymore. Think I twinged my back crowd surfing.

While I might be getting to old for the pit Mudhoney still put on an awesome show
 
saw them play the Old Greek back in the day. Was the second time they toured, supporting the debut record.

Last time I saw them was the "LASt SHow ever" at the Hifi with rocket from the crypt.

Feel a bit wierd they came back at first but glad they did, was such a special band for me in my teen years.

I'm announcing open season on any phone above shoulder level at gigs.

Definitely the former Jim and I can't understand why people at concerts insist on taking shitty photos/videos with their shitty phones and shitting off everyone behind them. When I see the results at gigs from phones I generally want to vomit.
 
Oh god, how I love to hate!

prob my all-time fav band. missed them this time round (was overseas), but have seen them a bunch of times. caught them at ATP in NY in 2010 and they played Superfuzz Big Muff in its entirety (as well early singles). One of the best nights of my life

Hawthorn - Essendon followed by Mudhoney (got my ticket) should be a huge night.

Last year, I went Hawthorn - Essendon followed by Tumbleweed.

There's a pattern developing.
