He does this sometimes. Votes once to avoid a modkill and then gets modkilled a bit later. If he's still alive by the end of D4, he may be worth a look then.

I'd be seering yourself If I were in a position of power. Active but not necessarily being a help and you're in the first 4 to sign-up and that system hasn't failed as yet.

He's made some strange posts but we've been led down this path before and he's just turned out to be a villager. He really could just be making an effort to get into the game but he does himself no favours.
