The wind howled through the night as the village settled down to sleep, confident that their hunt for evil was nearing an end. BRAB's carcass was beginning to rot as it swayed in the wind, though truth be told the odour was far more pleasant than his usual stench.

FR0GGY was settling in for the night, dousing the fire in his bedroom, when a howl shook him to his core. "Surely not," he murmured, spinning and finding his neighbour standing before him. "Oh," he breathed in relief, "It's just you. What a time to be alive, hey?" He chuckled. The man smiled, "What a time to be alive," he replied, his smile transforming into a snarl, before physically melting away into a hairy snout. The wolf leapt at FR0GGY, mauling him where he stood. The villager lay dead, bleeding out.

Thatsapaddlin turned away, and as he went to make his escape, stopped dead in his tracks, a masked crusader staring him in the eye. "Stop where you are," the man said, his voice muffled by his mask. Drawing a revolver, the vigilante placed, with care, a silver bullet in the chamber. Thatsapaddlin knew he wouldn't have long to make his move. He leapt swiftly towards the masked vigilante, but was too late, the revolver firing into his chest, the silver bullet melting his core.

The vigilante hurried into the night, pulling his jacket tight around him to brace against the fierce wind. The shrieking of the wind followed him several blocks as he hurried on. Disappearing into an alley, the mask was stripped, before Dapper Jong resumed walking, more casually now. The shrieking continued to follow him though, and too late he realised the shriek of the bat as it swooped towards him, biting hard into his neck, feasting on his life force.

Elton Johns Wig sat cross legged in his house, frowning at the violence he felt around him. "But who are you," he murmured, trying to gaze into his mind's eye. So focussed was he, that the slamming of his door did not rouse him. The knife through his gut certainly did. Gasping, he opened his eyes wide, staring into the face of his killer momentarily before death. Slumping to the floor.
