Anyone here play System Link Multiplayer.

I'm thinking about getting another xbox360 console for it.
Is it worth it, because it's pretty much the only way apart from playing online.

No split screen is no more and is shit.

I remember having people over and playing COD2
People bringing their own TV's and xbox around lol
Xbox live makes that a thing of the past for me

Used to do it all the time with perfect dark back in the day when we all had 256mb internet connections.

Was awesome, Ethernet cables snaking through the house and shitty crt screens set up on the loungeroom floor.

Used to rotate who had the "good" tv to keep it fair

Just play online with friends now

Considering doing something similar with a bunch of my mates. Have about 8-12 people around for a beers, pizza and Xbox night.

Online is great and all, but you don't have that same location social exp.

We'll probably use a couple of projectors and >50cm screens for the split screens.

Also trying to narrow down the best local MP games to play (especially games that are easy to pick up and play as a few mates haven't played some titles)... ATM looking at:

- Racing... Forza 4 and NFS
- FPS... Portal 2, COD4, Halo
- Sport... NBA Jam, AFL
- Fight... SF IV, Fight Night(maybe)

Haven't done this for years, so it should be interesting and fun.

my mate has 4 xbox's set up all back to back system linked and its real fun to play shooters together. probably not worth the money but i didnt pay for it
