I don't blame him for going. There's no way we were going to beat Sydney in terms of $$ or contract and nor should we try given the advantages they have and their position in the rebuilding cycle. Everyone involved made the right choice (well except maybe Sydney - we won't know for a few years on that) and there are winners all round.

GF was completely irrelevant, he was gone as soon as the Swans decided they wanted him.

As a rookie, how could Mumford expect to play in the GF? Were there spare players on the long term injury list who he could have been elevated for? To me it's irrelevant and just his way of clouding the issue. Good luck to him in Sydney but he doesn't have to be so self-serving.
