interestingly he certainly isn't the only jockey up here to have engaged in "extra-curricular discussions" with successful businessman.

he was however extremely unpopular with many of the other (leading) jockeys and also with certain powers to be in the HKJC...

Have you got rocks in your head? Thank bloody god Hong kong has some bloody guts. Quite frankly the Australian industry should start tiddying up there act. Race fixing should not be stamped out well done hkjc! Fixing is threatning the industry.

Quite frankly 30 months seems pritty soft but still it'ss teach him a lesson.

No doudt a harsh penalty is needed but jail for that i dont no, we have some pretty bad ******** going on here and you dont do a days jail. Maybe twelve months and a big fine.

Thats exactly Australia's problem everything gets handled by the JC'S which are biased and complicit with corruption. Thank bloody God for HK and the UK who take defrauding gamblers seriously!

i don't think munce took this charge to seriously imo. I think he was sure he would get a heavy fine and never to ride in Honkers again.

Does 30 months fit the crime? Probably not, but never give the HKJC club the opportunity to make an example of you.

As far as I was aware it was hong kong's racing corruption commision not the JC

Nobody wants to see races fixed, but in no way was it proven (or even implied) that he fixed any races.
I'm not saying it wasn't stupid to involve himself in things that are against racing rules, but putting him in jail seems like a completely overblown way to make sure he doesn't ride any horses any time soon.
