Mundine Vs Ottke

The bout takes place this Sunday morning AEST and is for the IBF World Super-middleweight title, I haven't seen much of Sven Ottke but by all reports he is a light punching, very technically perfect sort of fighter, former Olympic Silver medalist who has never been defeated as a Pro.

It appears Mundines best option would be to try and brawl with the German in a bid knock him out, I wouldn't let it go to the score cards over there in Nazi land(Ottke's backyard)..

I'm looking forward to the fight and will probably be cheering for Choc(although some what reluctantly after his comments last month about the World Trade Centre tragedy). Bottom line is that Australia needs more World Champions and a top athlete like Mundine is capable of winning.

Munidine is a disgrace, did you see the way he was acting at the press conference and stuff, trying to pick fights with people. He would be one of our best exports and boxing talents if he just kept his mouth shut sometimes.

Very right about Ottke, very tight defense, sharp counter puncher with speed but little power.

Sorry but Im hoping he finds a power punch in this one and sends Mundine sprawling and early to. Have no time at all for the bloke. Refuse to call him a ***

I know what you mean Stucey, although a bit of pre-fight bravado at the press conference is nothing new.

Mundine(An Ali wannabe) isn't one of my favourite boxers but we just need more World Titles in this country, my dream scenario would be for Choc to win and then face Paul Briggs and let the Hurricane knock him out and take the IBF strap away from him.

Would love to see Ottke put Mundine on his backside in the first, then again in the second and then clean him up in the third and Mundine disappear up his own backside never to be heard of again!!

Having so so fights against second and third rate opponents does not a champion (or even a contender make!!)

Just quietly, I reckon Mundine is a bloody good chance against this Ottke bloke. He's a bit of a wildcard because none of his 3rd rate opponents have tested him at all. But from an armchair experts POV, I reckon Mundine is a bloody hard&straight puncher who appears to be in top notch condition. If he can take a punch, which I reckon he can, then he just needs to follow Magpie-Fletchs plan and brawl it out.

His Sept 11 comments were totally wrong though.
