Just saw his interview after the game on Saturday, where what seems to be half of his family had flown over for the game. Given that Dave had stated that the lure of family back in Victoria was a strong one, I wouldn't be surprised if the club had said to him "Invite your whole family over for the weekend to help celebrate your 200th, we'll foot the bill". If that's the case then full credit to the club because that may well be the reason why Dave's resigned now instead of at the end of the year (or not at all).

This is just absolutely awesome.

I can stop my manic research on his family situation now.

Believe that we may become a Premiership team now people.

That is brilliant. Can't believe how well the club has done in these negotiations. Everyone wants to stay!

Congratulations to Barra too! I would not have held it against him if he chased the dollar for what is likely to be his last high earning contract, but he has shown loyalty - respect!

Awesome news. :)
mundy and fyfe wanted to make a rational decision, went out shopping, came back, thought about it and said "yeah, you are right, freo is still the best option"

Feels good that the club is making it attractive for players to stay

I believe the clincher was the Kim Hagdorn article.
There's something brilliant about Hagdorn scrambling to report that Mundy had baulked at our first offer, only for him to sign with us the very next day.

If Haggers was a lollipop, he'd be shit flavoured.

What happened to Mundy baulking at 3 years yesterday ? BAM I love the timing of this, the club is run like a well oiled machine and does not give a fek about anything other than doing business the way they want.
I reckon he went home last night and spoke to "she who rules the house", and was TOLD to wander into Reception on the way to training and put his squiggle on the bottom of the page.
