I would be stunned if Carlton trade Yarran. With two players of *some* value in Walker and Jacobs already in circulation, I can't imagine a scenario where the club thinks it's time to send Yarran off. Only if a young gun KP player was coming back would it be considered, and even then they'd want to be a can't-miss prospect.

This...Already looking like 2, maybe 3 player looking for trades. more than enough to get some picks and fill some gaps. Don't want wholesale change, particularly involving people as talented as Yarran.

Just a quick note... the crows with their last 3 x 2nd round draft picks have scored the following:

Andy Otten,
Shaun McKernan,
Jack Gunston

If you got pick 27 and 30 and thought anything of your recruiting department you'd take that deal... for a 3rd ruck and a dime a dozen utility.

Does that sound like a reality check... sure enough you might not get that... but beyond you're reaching at a tipping point where no deal will happen..

Gonna be a good ol trade week

Would be happy to get Mundy, working out an appropriate deal might be a bit of a trick.

Suggestions of trading Yarran, please, spare us such lunacy!

If they wanted Yarran for Mundy I'd do it. Yarran is behind Garlett at this stage at a similar age and it's something we have a surplus. of. Yarran worries me that he may go missing at certain times when needed most despite breathtaking skills at times. He could both thrill and frustrate. I don't rate him as high as others do, which will probably come back to bite me on that @rse being 19, but at the same would only trade him if it meant a big trade getting over the line.

Come back and tell us if it's good when we pull your pants down during trade week. IF you actually can get a deal done.

How about we give Fremantle the lube as well so they can do that trade?

Things change pretty quickly in footy.

Mackie was in the AA squad last year, but has been overlooked for selection twice.

Yarran will be hitting his straps at the time Mundy turns 31 years of age.

No thanks.

Love how some want to throw Gibbs and Yarran on the table because we have mids and forwards, yet we don't think of Kreuzer as expendable in a similar vein.

Proposing trading your elite talent defies belies.

Not sure we can top the rumoured deal on the Essendon board of Houli, Atkinson and 4th round pick :o

Apparently the source seems pretty reliable
This trade suggestion is just as amusing.
3 way deal for mine:

Tarrant to Carlton
Mundy to Essendon
Hooker to Fremantle
Carlton draft prick to Fremantle
Adrian Hickmott to Carlton as assistant coach - please get rid of that idiot

What did Ratts really mean he said "un-expected" in relation to our involvement in trade week? Is there a player we are after which no-one has picked up on? Are there any players left in the AFL we aren't trading for?

Someone make a revenge list for all these Yarran haters. 2 year contract bitches. SUCK IT UP.

Note: If Yarran was somehow traded, unless we're recieving the Premiership cup for a straight swap I'd seriously start to doubt our coaches/recruiters had any clue. Kid genuinely makes me wanna watch him play, he's special.

Thanks god you have nothing to do with Carlton then, Yaz is all class my friend.

Appatently Mundy is meeting with both Carlton and Melbourne on Monday before the brownlow.
Got this from a good friend in WA (who is a dockers fan) and is a mate of Lloyd who is in the Dockers recruitment department....

So if your physio is correct

He goes to Melbourne, they put on a power point presentation of a team that finished 12th and his big forward target in Jack Watts before telling him they can't afford to pay him as they're paying 100% of the salary cap already.

Then he goes to Carlton, who introduce him to Chris Judd, Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kreuzer and tell him he'll be sharing the midfield with them while playing finals and collecting his salary before taking him out to Visy for an introduction.

Gee, tough choice.

OK .. don't shoot me but ...

I'd rather Carlton worked a three way deal that saw us getting Mundy.

Walker + #18 +#35 to Adelaide

#14 + #26 (Bock) + #35 + Griffen to Fremantle

Mundy + #26 (Bock) to Carlton

Fremantle

Griffen + Pick #14, #35

Adelaide

Walker + Pick #18

Carlton

Mundy + Pick #26

... Or are we getting screwed in this deal?

They paid 100% this year to make sure they had plenty of cap space going forward.
They have plenty of room in 2011 due to the front end loaded contracts. Do not dismiss them in this race.

Sounds very ironic to the 206 scenario...:D

Seems the physio has let you down again :o

Melbourne re-signs five players

What has that article got to do with anything I have been talking about....?

Facts are the Dee's used 100% of the cap this year, to free up space going forward with from end loaded contract, in a very similar vein to what we have done.

And they just had to fill it up again after five new contracts, let alone what they'll have to do for Trengove and Scully next year. They can't afford Mundy's price tag.

While I think PooMonkey is attempting to big note himself, I still struggle how you can make this statement?

I am sure that opposition supporters can say the same thing to us. How can we afford to keep, Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Kruezer, Warnock...... and stay under budget.

Melbourne has a young list so there are plenty of players on lower wages. I am sure that Watts could not at the moment demand massive payments, along with the rest of the players stated.

I have no doubt that Scully and Trengove will command a decent pay rise in a few years, but still nothing compared to what a Judd is potentially on.

They have the room.

They have also delisted McDonald and Miller on top of that Warnock will leave and there is also word that Paul Johnson and Nathan Jones are on the way out....

Good luck with that. I'll wait for the official word from them saying they have the cash to land a big name player that contradicts the other info they've made public rather than rely on the stuff from your physio.

Reasonable start C4. You think we can do the same deal but trade Jacobs instead of Walks?

Watched our first qtr of the season last night (don;t know why). A couple of things really stood out for me, McLean is a gun and Hoops still has a place in the best 22.

Rather than a stupid 3-way trade for a lazy player like Brennan why not a 3-way with Freo for Mundy, given the latter is keen on coming home. Surely this makes more sense, not to mention a player with more substance.
