Again, (and yes I am aware that this could be considered stalking or the like, but the pattern is in the poster and not the postee), but what exactly do you base this assumption upon?
Are they somehow incapable of developing further under the current coaching regime?
Why would they suddenly blossom at another club?
If so, then why?

Both struggle to find the ball for themselves but when recieve it with some space look great.

I suspect if they could be support cast in a good side they'd be very dangerous goal kicking midfield.

Happy to give both more time in their careers to stand up when it counts but at this stage they simply don't do that.

(George, one post, not that hard).

Up yours pal.
This is a a discussion format, and every discussion that I have been involved with provides people with the right to have more than one ill-informed comment.
But kudos to you. Was the closet door squeaky?

I thought that Ibbotson was a mid and not a forward?
And even if he was a forward, then how could another regime develop him further? Pretty sure that Ibbo's problem has been between his ears.
From all accounts he looks ultra fit and ready to go and good luck to him. He has all of the the assets to make him a very good player.

As for Murphy being a star as a support cast player in another team....?

Well that is all that he has been assigned to do with us, and, apart from 2006, he has been a massive failure.

Pray tell which coaching group that will turn him into a star.

That should have read "midfielder"

Both refered to Mundy & Ibbotson

Murphy/s problem is not lack of heart but lack of pace and strength,(he is always in the last few in the sprint drills) so finds it hard to lose his defender and he/s not strong enough to match it in one on one against the bigger bodied defenders so he/s caught in a no mans land .not quick enough for a flanker and not big enough for kpf,
Not his fault but appears doomed to be the good wafl player but just short of the attributes for AFL

I'll cut him some slack when he deserves it, when he shows some heart, spirit and fight for our jumper.

No one deserves more criticism than Ryan Murphy. He is a chronic underperformer and doesn't try 100%. At least the dumbass brigade, Dodd, Grover, Keps, Schammer etc give their all.

I can't believe the criticism that Dodd, Schammer, Mundy, Headland etc cop on these boards compared to Murphy.

I hope he can turn it around and put in an effort. Maybe Harvey has finally got the message through to him that its now or never.

i dont believe murphy doesnt try 100%, i just think he gets lost and isnt smart enough to get out of the hole

did you see round 22 last year? if you looked up the word disgrace in the online dictionary, it would have des' lowlights reel from that game. this flys in the face of my previous comment, but he looked completely disinterested, i personally would have sacked him after that "effort", it was the most disgusting performance i can remember from a player and i have seen dan parker play. des' deserves everything he gets, and has a long way to go to earn respect back in my opinion.

Ouch!
There can be no more withering put down than a Dan Parker jibe.
Des wasn't quite that bad. No-one is quite that bad.;)

hmmmm, i get up in arms about des, i know so many people love him, but that game was just plain unacceptable, and at 29 and out of contract, needing to play well to save his career, he put in that performance..... never seen a more frustrating player, and personally i would have given him the flick, but i guess due to how ordinary (to put it nicely) we were last year he gets a chance to redeem himself, and i will be the first to cheer him if he does, god i hope he does.... but yes, old dan was the polar opposite to shane... the saying "built like tarzan, plays like jane" comes to mind with him
