guys i dont mean to make a bullsh** thread, not starting any rumours nor am i aksing for any. jsut want some simple answers.

i think its either im a very nervous man/boy, when it comes to trade week or im just plain gullible? but anywhom, i lsiten to SEN alot :D and ive found that all weekend all these roo supporters were ringing up with "sources" telling them that our golden boy marc murphy will be traded for their first rounder and corey jones.

where are they getting this crap from?

Why wouldn't they announce it on the web site then?

I mean - he's somewhat of a 'marquee' player... we publicly announced we were signing Hampson and Simpson on the CFC website FFS.

I wonder if there is anything (at all) in this?

Well lets be honest, most North fans have brains the size of peanuts, that is why they are a 'povo' club (I mean how many North fans are out there who earn more then 100 K a year FFS)

Marc Murphy has signed for 3 years, but the contract just to be organised/structured following trade week IE once we Get Robert Warnock, so the club can either back or front end the contract ...

It's all do to with organising and managaing the salary cap, nothing more ...
Murphy is staying, stop believing the gossip mongering chrome-sniffing baboons from SEN, the same station that once proclamied 'Richmond is in the Box Seat for Chris Judd' ..

I think that is tripe, ill believe it when the club announces it, which im sure they will the minute he signs.

Pretty scary that he hasn't yet though :(

A bit of an extreme critique of the NMFC there!

But a good point re contract specifics. I feel much better.

No different to all the neutral fans on bay 13 (esp North Fans) who keep saying Carlton fans are all gangstars and criminals LOL :D :D

It is an valid point though, the reason clubs like St.Kilda and Melbourne aren't in danger going under (unlike North and Footscray), even though they have been far less successful in the last 20 years then North, is because they have quite a lot of high-roller supporters who kick in 100 K or so each time their club is in crisis ...

That is an (unfortunate) fact, North really don't have many loaded supporters who can contribute significant money to the club on a regular basis (that is why they used to sell a few games interstate)
And you would have to question why an out of contract gun player would want to go to a club that's long term viability is in question.

If anything, I would say our biggest threat to Marc Murphy would have been Essendon (they made a massive pitch apparently)

In all honesty though, how can this year's trade week possibly compete with last year, with all the tension and nervousness about the Chris Judd deal ...
When it was announced on SEN the Carlton-WCE deal had been done, and Josh Kennedy agreed to go to the Eagles, I did a massive 'YEEEEEE HAAAAA' yell at work, which was rather embarssing, but worth it :D :D

Again, I think it would have to do with the whole official $$$ thing.

I agree - couldn't go five minutes without jumping on Bigfooty and wading through half a dozen new posts on the Judd trade.

Though if Walker is traded, I think I might feel a bit (i.e. lot) homicidal.

Ah from a couple of sources around the place, apparently also the Bombers were stupid/naive enough to assume he would last to pick 5 in the PSD, and they could pick him up for nothing LOL.

The Bumbers though are cashed up bigtime (have plenty of cap space)
