Ye did think about mulwala & numurkah & even deni could be right up there, should be a great comp again !
Numurkah picked up a few? Robbie Montgomery is a loss. Hearing Congupna could be wooden spoon material with a heap of losses from an average side.

Worth consideration for Congupna to go Picola way got the odds stacked against in the MFL.

And the circle will be almost complete.

Congupna, Dookie Utd, Katamatite, Katandra, Shepp East, and Tungamah all back together like Tungamah FL in 1994.

Would Violet Town and Benalla All Blacks be interested?

Why not go the whole hog and get Alex, Thornton-elidon and yea as well?

IMHO the sliders downwards for 2016 will be congupna, deniliquin, mulwala tongala and the movers upwards will be numurkah, Finley &, echuca but that's just a gut feeling :)

I don't live in the past , just looking at last years results and games I saw . I think mercy rule still used in under 14s. You could not but agree in an ordinary competition ?

So you were watching pdfnl junior games? Obviously with the view to poach players for Finley... o_O
MFL games had a lot of one sided games as well. But that's junior footy.
However I don't really want to argue about this as personally I believe both leagues do a great job developing footballers from Auskick through to senior players promoting the benefits of community club football and keeping them playing the game. :thumbsu:

As my memory serves me correct there was nothing to poach ! One of the games I watched Finley were lending players so tocumwal would have a chance of a win I think they came up a goal short to a side that did quite well mathoura , Finley lent three pfl sides players when they could during the season

Great to hear Finley lending players. :thumbsu:
that sort of cooperation helps keep kids enthused and playing if their team is a bit short.

I wouldn't worry yourself to much nofearbrowny if what I am hearing is correct pdfnl clubs, due to not being in points system , will have grounds to not clear players to clubs/ leagues within the points system .
Would ultimately mean it is one way traffic and that is to the PDFNL .

I'd be confident most clubs wouldn't take your line of thinking in this matter and hold players due to a trivial ruling! Good clubs are smart enough to allow players to leave on good terms when they feel the need to venture somewhere else. Will be a non-issue!

Trivial ruling?? At the very least IMO it would absolutely be used to slow things down.
If aflvic want to introduce points system that by design will hurt if not cause the folding of small clubs in our league then expect a fight!!
Good management of country football would be genuine in community sustainability not introduce a plan to ultimately get rid of a few under the guise of community sustainability.
Will become an issue if pdfnl clubs pushed expect lots of disputes IMO!!
Sad thing is in my area relations between say Deni Rams and pdfnl clubs in region and as discussed above Finley and surrounding clubs has been cooperative this system may sadly through necessity bring about division.

Good clubs develop there own .
Yes they do, irrelevant to the point being made, as is wouldilietoyou's comments. I actually agree that the point system won't work, but a ruling on clearing players, coming out of this system, to be used to block player movement, would not be a good look for any club willing to use it.

bringing in a system which makes players from one league more affordable than another is also a bad look .
'the look ' or any past history means jack shit these days unfortunately .
Often the player goes to the highest bidder and clubs recruit players solely for their on field ability .
I doubt clubs will block players anymore than they already do , it may however be beneficial shall the recruiting from their club increase .

But pdfnl are the only league that is not part of the points system I think ,there is likely backlash for standing alone, is that why u have not got umpires ? What's to stop vcfl of not clearing players to your league . I agree with hank points system probably won't work but l think u have to work with the system

why do we have to work with the system?
Well, I think life has just become more difficult because u are standing alone. I am not a Fan of points system.one good point might be if it can get more players to be loyal & remember & play for their development club it's a good thing

Why do you think things have become more difficult, who is making it difficult for us and why do you think they are making it difficult?

You can't and shouldn't try to force loyalty by rules, in fact clubs are hypocritical when they say that. Every single club is out trying to recruit players from another club. It's one thing that amuses me the "welcome to our club/how dare you leave" attitude.
Can only speak for our area and in reality Browny they don't move that much. More of a problem the amount of players who move away for uni/work.

I admire your determination , but u play footy by the rules whether you like the rule or not , if the rule doesn't work strength of numbers can change the rule but the power of one is limited but if all pdfnl are on board well I suppose you never know ,it's hard to get people to do all the jobs around the footy club let alone fight the governing body
