Hard to get a gauge on Cobram. Very even front to back. But Barooga were pathetic. After being tipped to finish fourth in Shepp News, their sprouted they would review in four week blocks. They have Tonny, Nathalia and Mulwala the next three weeks. It could get seriously ugly.....

Are either of those two sides expected to finish anywhere near the top 6 ?
Looking through the list of who played , they didn’t appear super strong sides .

United may finish bottom. Very young. But credit to them, they got us a few times yesterday but our experience got through.

Easy 6000+. Lines for the Canteen, Bar and Dunnys were as if you were at an AFL game at times. No spare seats in the stands, no real standing space, netball chockers, ute couches surround the ground. A great day to be at the footy and awesome facility's that any country club would envy but I don't think United or Moama will provide too many hiccups in the league

So near twice as many as at GF’s and potentially breaching Covid rules ???
Great ammenities but unfortunately the ground is small ( a decent kick for centre bounce and it’s a goal ) and there isn’t alot of room around the ground like many other MFL grounds .

Rumba coach not at all happy after the game
Told supporters to stay out of the change rooms ..

Covid rules predominately prevent those other than players coaching and medical staff entering rooms .

I don't think their were those type of numbers there great Crowd but 90% of the Crowd was jammed over the Grandstand side to escape the Sun.

Someone explain whats wrong with Barooga? Reading the results they have been smashed in both games. Is that the coach also playing for them? He would have to be nearly 50 wouldnt he ? Wouldnt have thought that was a good example for the young kids having a crack to play senior footy if it is him.

He is 45, and if he is in the best 22 does it really matter? Can’t imagine barooga are that flush with numbers that heaps of young blokes are missing out on a game.

The issue is he was fairly close to best on in their first game when they were supposed to be full strength....

Admirable job playing at full forward and telling your big recruits to "get out of the 50"....

Might be too many eggs in one basket! Easy for Clubs to get excited about what former AFL players will bring to your Club but at the end of the day they are only one player that can only do so much. You would still think they would be travelling better than what they are though.

Not much chat here. Interesting start to the season. Nathalias lack of depth going to prove costly? Form players of the comp so far!? Reserves comp looks like a two horse race. Some real problems ahead in the next year or two for country footy to bounce back

Nathalia look too still have the potential to wind up for a tilt after belting Congupna at the weekend. Would have Tonny favs at this stage. Mulwala and Cobram ticking well too.
