I hear the great goal kicking freak be it Trevor Sutton has terminal cancer ,,, i believe he now lives in Darwin .Does anyone know if this is true news about his health .
What a player he was ,, just unbelievable

Any practice matches this weekend or still to early and need to wait a couple of weeks?

I remember the Barooga Night Series was always good around this time of the year, any reason why this has stopped?

The local night series at Barooga and Katandra over the years were great ways to kick off the season. I am not sure why either competition stopped, but the access to grounds that are also cricket venues became more challenging as there are now stipulated dates for change over that can be hard to work around.

I remember in the early 90s at Katandra where clubs from Bendigo, O&M and GVL would come to play in Div 1 while the minor leagues filled Div 2.

My thoughts as well Roota
Rumba are not immune to the challenges in country footy these days, in fact it’s probably harder for them. With a narrower recruiting base, they likely need to look farther afield, and pay bigger bucks to fill a side and be competitive. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't be against salary cap and points concessions for the club to remain viable, given the benefit they provide to the indigenous community across Victoria.
