Final 6 is still on
But Rumba need to beat Mulwala in wet weather footy.
Numurkah need to beat united, could be a danger game at Echuca Sth
Deni need to beat Moama
Should be some interesting games in the wet and I guess if Tongala beat Cobram they are still a slight chance, if other results go their way.

Race for 2nd spot - Moama and Cobram - Moama should get there as Cobram has Congupna in the last round.
With 2.5 rounds to go, the Road have a percentage of 466%, has anyone had higher. They are on their way to be premiers and champions, an undefeated season.

Not only that, they have won every single quarter so far this season.

Unbelievable isnt it !

Wonder how this Congupna 2025 team would stack up in the GV. Are they in the 6? Would they beat Shepp Swans who are currently 6th.
Or are they around the Seymour/Euroa mark - 7th/8th
Or lower

I believe they beat Bears in Pre-Season at Cobram, I do understand it was only Pres-Season but still a good effort.

A few opposing MFL players that played in a top GV team last year mentioned they would be either side of 4th after playing against Congupna.

Is there room for a 4th Shepp team in the GV. Theres 1 may be flying, however the 17s 'last' and 14s do struggle. Unsure about the netball, but overall, I would say the club is pretty happy with where they are and becomes a point of difference of Shepp footy players to play MFL and not GV.

Yep united are a fair bit off it, its why congupna are good at the moment, they are a point of difference, so they can recruit gv players, not as hard training id think and enjoy community footy

Any word on coaches / re-signings for 2026? See Mul put a few up.

Not as many people interested in the local footy coaching as there once was

2 more rounds to go - final 6 is set - its just who finishes 3rd to 5th.
Nathalia easily over United
Moama easily over Barooga
Numurkah easily over Finley
Congupna very easily over Tongala
Deni and Rumba - will be a good game, even better if they were fighting for the 6. Deni might get up on the home deck
Mul v Cobram - game of the week - battle for 3rd spot to whoever can win this. Pressure on Cobram as they have Congupna next week and could drop to 5th.
Cobram had the bye last week after there 100+ win over Nathalia, and Mul won by 150 over Finley. So both in ripping form and I think the home team will get up, but could go either way.

With the Werribee season finished will Cobram see the Pinnuck brothers run out this week against Congupna?

Great win by United over Nathalia, and Rumba getting the job done up at Deni
Rumba have Nathalia this week and look to finish off the season with a win, Nathalia need some form before finals

Kyle Mueller (Congupna) is averaging about 6 goals per game.
Currently he is on 83 goals.
Could we possibly see him kick his 100th in the Grand Final again this year?

Might do, got to 95 last year and might be a tip for the league medal aswell.
Finals set but will be an interesting round to finish off the year
Barooga may get their first win for the year over Finley
United and Deni will be a good game - United with the win last week over Nathalia would be favourites and possible finish the year in 8th above Deni
Rumba v Nathalia will also be a great game - Rumba to finish the year off well and Nathalia to get winning form before finals
Mulwala should easily account for Tongala and possibly finish 2nd.
Moama v Numurkah always seem to be close - If Moama loose, they drop to 3rd so they would be keen to keep the 2nd chance, Numurkah win and they will stay at 6th no matter what but will play Moama again in an elimination final
Cobram v Congupna could well be a Grand Final preview

Well, what a round to finish on before finals
Nathalia's 3rd quarter got them going ready for finals, but need to come up against Cobram at Congupna, who put it up to the Road on Saturday to lose by 5 points when down by 20 at 3 quarter time.
Jamison Daniels match winner against Moama to set up an elimination final next week against each other at Deni. Numurkah will be confident, and Moama need to get some revenge back and get the win.
Echuca United finished 8th with 2 wins in the last 2 rounds, also debuting a 15 yr old.
Finally, Congupna first test of the year, a week off for them and Mul is prob what they both need.

Finals time
Moama would not want to loose to Numurkah 2 weeks in a row to bow out for the year, should be a great game
Cobram getting close to Congupna last week has the form to beat Nathalia.
But as we know anything can happen in finals and the ball bounces sometimes for you and at times against you.

Should be a good contest on Saturday at Moama
Congupna v Cobram
You'd think The Road should get it done fairly easily with BJ Squire back in for the Road, and Cobram without Louis Pinnuck from their round 18 clash.

Might get some rain on Saturday but the road by 10 goals plus. Cobram have done well to get the GF from 4th.
So by Saturday comes, Congupna have only played one game since RD 18 (23 August) whilst Cobram ahs played every week. So the road will be fresh but lack of game time.
