I did actually mean to put 'one of the goals'. Blame the morning.
As long as you don't blame it on the sunshine.

Isn't the goal or jails to rehabilitate the person to be able to become a member of society again?
Seems to me Murray has done this already without going to jail...
Corby got set free, bodes well for Muzza.Marley Williams in strife, doesn't bode well for Muzza
There are a number of professions where a criminal conviction means he would never work again in that profession.
I've watched the game 3 times over now, and i was very impressed by Murray's performance. He bobbed up everywhere and showed plenty of courage and craft. Will have a place in the 25 if he keeps that type of showing up.
Without exploring the theory behind criminal law, as EP below your post suggests it's only one facet. It could have a severe negative effect on anyone that is face with imprisonment; AFL player or regular crack inhaling Joe.Isn't the goal or jails to rehabilitate the person to be able to become a member of society again?
Seems to me Murray has done this already without going to jail, I think sending him to jail would be the worse thing for him in that respect. Could actually have a severe negative effect on him.
Ate chilli jerky this morning; doesn't bode well for Muzza.
They might get to share a cell? Couple of losers together eh?Marley Williams in strife, doesn't bode well for Muzza
He'll no doubt be a handy player for the prison side, just like Krakouer wasYep agree and i thought he had a some decent defensive skills in the forward line. Would love him to improve even more and become a forward with some Midfield time.
.He may come to have cause to disagree.Luckily for Newman, it doesn't really matter too much for sportsmen.

Embley and Chick had a serious dust up well before the dust up at the club.Is that true? Shit. Agg burg isn't to be taken lightly, depending on the facts some would consider it just as bad as a fight at a club. Was he found guilty in the end?
Embley and Chick were consenting adults (who would have undertaken boxing as part of their training) who had intended to have their most serious dust up under the supervision of the club. They were not impaired (well Chick might have been...) and from what I have read it was supposed to be a "fair fight".

What is interesting is two young WA AFL listed footballers being convicted of the same offence.
Was one any worst that the other?
Will they get similar punishments?
We will know Newman's fate first and only time will tell.
