It makes plenty of sense, My life My Family = Blatant Statement of the Obvious. Anyone breathing should hold their family dearly and not have to put up it in big lights. To do so means he has to put it out there like some people question it ? I don't know but tattoo's are an addiction as Ive seen first hand with some apprentices who would rather spend $1500 on a stupid snake wrapped around their leg than go towards a deposit on a house.

The judge has ordered pre-sentencing and psychological reports, so getting that sorted is a big part of it. Not sure if the Christmas break has meant a longer wait than usual between the verdict and sentencing.

I will be surprised if he does jail time.

First offence and he has the support of an employer with close to unlimited resources to ensure he is educated and supported to ensure he does not re-offend.

Between now and March I expect Murray to do some community service through the club working with young indigenous kids telling them not to make similar mistakes etc and be coached what to say at any psych examinations.

My prediction:

3 Months suspended sentence for two years
Fine of ?? $$
Pay for all victims costs
Banned from entering any licensed premises unless at supervised club events
Community Service

WA seems a bit more strict on these issues than in the NT I must admit and I don't consider myself a budding legal scholar like some on here. The premeditated nature of the incident is what could increase the sentence though.

The sad thing is that footballers do get preferential treatment / support. If the bloke didn't play for the team we support most of us would want the book thrown at him for being a douche bag.
