I've been keeping an eye on the countdown of their top 1000 80s songs over the Easter weekend. I have no idea how they work their rankings out. Islands in the Stream, which was number one for weeks in 1984 only comes in at 721, yet some songs which I've never heard of are ranked higher. Strange decision making going on.

Send Me An Angel was 990! :eek::confused: Would love to know the criteria, but Max is known for its dubious countdowns.
Yeah I was surprised when I saw that, also Billy Idol's Dancing With Myself in the high 900s. As I said very weird rankings. I would have thought that it would be based on chart history but that's obviously not the case.

its usually just a bunch of songs chucked in a random order until they get to the top 10 and it's filled with beatles/beatles member's songs.
