I'm nothing special don't worry, play in an acoustic duo called Dont Call Me Shirley, do a lot of weddings and functions etc, and play on my own at bars. I'm a mid-level guitarist and probably around the same standard at drums (struggle with double kicks, that sort of thing) but more than adequate for teaching kids.

Agree 100 per cent with the last part of your post as well, it is so easy when you've got 20 minutes to do a quick online tutorial either to learn new exercises or a new song. Even yesterday I randomly stumbled on a lesson on the solo from The Waifs' London Still, a song I've loved for ages. Within half an hour I could play basically the whole thing. Massive luxury.
Extra points for the band name ;)

2)
Going to see The Models (mates raved about them) who were appalling supported by MEO245 who were even crappier.

Thought it was too bad to be true - must have been an off night.

Backed up the following night - they were farking even worse !

Putting the guitar down for 30 plus years. Would still have been an ordinary player had I not but at least I'd have accumulated a lot more knowledge of the instrument
