Way back on Australia Day 2012 I was challenged to come up with the best opening line(s) to a song

Actually, challenged a week or two before that, had to deliver on Australia Day

Anyway, my wife and I put our heads together and came up with something we both agreed upon, from an album we both love

Found out on the weekend just passed that we won the pseudo contest and are going to receive a bottle of wine as a prize! :thumbsu: Didn't even know there was a prize ...

Anyway, here it is:
I don't know my telephone number
But you kiss good, and I'd like to see you tomorrow

From:
Nonfiction by The Black Crowes (album Amorica)
Highly underrated band IMO

Anyone got any pearlers of opening lines to a song?

How about Seasick Steve?

Cut my wings you all, shot me down I cannot fly....

I went to Future and Soundwave! Not sure which one was more amazing.

But man Slipknot are good live. Never thought much of their music, but they destroyed everything.

Also, Knife Party and Skrillex. Love the wub.

The Black Crowes are a great band.

Here's a tune from the
The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion ALBUM

for our forward line when kicking for goal.

After BJ slots it! Reminds me of this same belief in the heart.

Must admit I'm another internet forum Metal fan.

My taste may be a tad 'out there' for some. I don't enjoy the more traditional bands' sounds/style and tend to go for avant garde.

Some personal favorite bands/albums:

Aborym
Acid Bath
Aghora
Alchemist
Apotheosis
Arcturus
Asmegin
Chryst - 'Phantasmachronica'
Demimonde - 'Mutant Star'
Dordeduh - 'Valea Omului' (EP)
Drudkh
Fleurety
Green Carnation - 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness'
Hate Forest - 'Battlefields'
Kataxu
Korova/Korovakill
Lux Occulta
Myrkskog
Necrophogist
Negura Bunget
Primordial
Radigost
******* Ink - 'Ink Complete'
Spiral Architect - 'A Sceptic's Universe'
Unexpect
Vesania
Virgin Black

Doesn't always have to be Metal, though. Been getting into this guy recently:

Dude, the fact that you've even heard of those albums let alone like them is instant props in my book, seriously amazing music!

Haha, cheers. :thumbsu:

12 years waiting for the next Architect album. Hopefully they pull a Primus and blow everything else they've done out of the water.

If they do that it'll seriously be the greatest album of all time considering ASU is absolutely brilliant. I'm not holding my breath though haha

I once had backstage passes to The Eagles, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, 50 Cent, INXS etc..

Care factor? They cry, laugh, relax and bleed like all of us.

I like music with a bit of body/life experience to it myself
