Low/Heroes are my favourite Bowie albums. Way ahead of the vast majority of music in 1977 and light years away from his early glam period.
 
Remembering back to the early 1990s, the fact that U2 had 'reinvented' themselves as big news. Bono dressing up as the devil in makeup, it was all pretty out there for them. And it was successful too, it really worked.

Its hard to imagine that now I guess, everything they have done since has been a pailer version of either their Joshua Tree or Achthung Baby era. But back then, it was everywhere. Dad tells me it was like that for the Beatles' Pepper too.
