Mutimer before Mountford

Underestimated Mutimer. Said he would never play for us but looks like he is close to sneaking in.

Now I could well be talking out of my arse ( I have been told I do that often ) but hear me out on this one.

I get the impression that Mutimer is one of those players who plays better football if he has better players playing around him.
As others have said he won't ever be a star but I suspect he may well be a handy pick up, he has pace and knows how to use it as a weapon and thats an attribute that no team can have enough of.

I only watched a little bit of the EP v WP game on Sunday and I there were a few things I really liked about him. He hits the contest with pace and he's lightening. I really hope he comes along because he could be a seriously dangerous player.

Right now old mate would be ahead of him, but I'd rather many others ahead of him. His stats are bullshit because he often gets 2-3 possies in a chain because he stuffs up and picks the wrong option giving it to someone close by and then runs backwards and gets it back. Watch.

To be fair he's probably one of our best performers at the moment at East Perth so I'd give him more credit than that. Is having much more impact than Partington for instance.

That is so but I also base my comment on how he performed for Vic Country.
When he got noticed playing with The Dandenong Stingrays and subsequently being elevated to higher duties with the Vic Cty side his production lifted another level.
So I base my comment on both his recent body of work in the WAFL as well as his performances in his TAC Cup / State 18's year.

Like the look of the Mutt i think he could turn out pretty good. Has pace and can find the ball, has a powerful kick just needs to tidy up his disposal and decision making hopefully Mitch can help him with that.
