Hopefully the lad gets his life on track. The eagles have stuck by him and he is being given an opportunity to get discipline/normality back in his life - something very few do in his position!

Whether he becomes a decent footballer is yet to be seen, but he has 13 months at least with support to build himself as a member of society

Not actually released until September 7, so won't be available for the elimination final.

PRB decision is here: http://www.prisonersreviewboard.wa.gov.au/_files/Decisions/NEWMAN Murray Edgar.pdf

Sounds like he's done everything right while inside.
If we end up playing Fremantle, could we get a home final on the Sunday? Surely he gets released from prison in the morning, so he could easily make the game to nab a few goals as sub! ;)

Surely he was never in contention to make it back this year.

I have no idea what his fitness i like, but there is also the fact he's yet to undergo a single training session of Simmo's game plan.

My prediction would be mid next year, considering he's now going to have a "late preseason and be playing catch up"

He should steer clear of Dayle Garlett

Why? Gets realeased in 2 weeks. Give him a month with his family and enjoy some freedom. Come October he should be right to fit that track and smash the pre-season. He's going to be like a new recruit and help our issue for outside pace.
